Awarded best lodge park 2015, 2016 & 2017

Raywell hopes to add another award to growing collection

Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park is hoping to add another award to its growing collection when it is a finalist at the 2015 Chamber Bridlington and Yorkshire Coast Awards.

This prestigious event, presented by the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce and held at the Spa Royal Hall in Bridlington on Friday, October 16, is now in its ninth year.

It is recognised as one of the leading business events in the region, celebrating the successes of businesses of all sizes, and individuals, over the past 12 months.

Following a nomination process and site visits by judges, Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park has been named a finalist in the Tourism and Hospitality Business of 2015 award.

Other finalists are Scarborough’s North Bay Railway and Attractions, and the Wrygarth Inn, in Great Hatfield.

The final three have been selected from an initial list of 13 contenders, and David Coates, a director at Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park, says it is yet more significant recognition for the expanding park.

“We’re obviously delighted to again find ourselves as finalists in an awards category focussed on the tourism and hospitality sector, as it is a very competitive market and one in which there are many great businesses and attractions for people to choose,” he said.

“All finalists in this category are doing their bit to promote East Yorkshire and the Yorkshire coast as a great place to visit, so hopefully it will be a night where we can all enjoy our success and celebrate what the region is achieving as a whole.

“It would obviously be nice to claim another award, so we have our fingers crossed for another good night, and hopefully another prize against our name.”

Raywell’s shortlisting comes on the back of another hugely successful 12 months, in which it secured TripAdvisor’s ‘Certificate of Excellence’ award for the second year in succession as a result of consistent five-star reviews from visitors, and retained its 5-star Quality in Tourism rating from Visit England, which it has held since 2013.

It was also named as one of the UK’s Top 10 Luxury Lodge Breaks by national newspaper The Sunday Mirror this summer.

Last year, Raywell Hall Country Lodge Park won the Tourism and Hospitality category at the Hull Daily Mail Business Awards, and was also a finalist in Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards.

This year's Chamber Bridlington and Yorkshire Coast Awards are being hosted by Yorkshire Coast Radio, and will be compered by Radio Presenter Patrick Billington, better known up and down the Yorkshire Coast region as 'Paddy in the Morning'.
